Bashir Ahmad, politician

Bashir Ahmad (12 February 1940 – 6 February 2009) was a Scottish National Party politician. He was elected to the Scottish Parliament to represent the Glasgow region at the 2007 election, and was the first MSP to be elected from an Asian-Scots or Muslim background.
